Our Policy
All foster homes are thoroughly screened to ensure we place our pets in capable, loving hands. All foster homes are funded through our donations so there are no out of pocket expenses. Foster homes are resposible for caring for their pet as if it was their own until a pemanent home is found.

Our organization pays for all medical expenses, vaccinations, supplies, etc.
until a permanent loving home is found. Let us know what type of animal
you are willing to foster: dog, cat, small, large, puppy, kitten. We will rescue
an animal that is a good match for you. Knowing you are helping an animal
that is facing certain death will outweigh the effort you may need to invest.
Their love is unconditional.
Thank you for your interest in becoming an UNWANTED NYC PETS foster
parent volunteer. Each year our foster parents save the lives of numerous perfectly adoptable animals from kill shelters and abusive situations. The foster program is designed to remove the animal from death row and allow more time to get adopted
into a permanent home. UNWANTED NYC PETS will provide the foster family
with food, blankets, towels, crates and medical care for the animals. The only
expense to the foster family is their time and love.
